Sewer line install will cause a nearly 24-mile detour

MULVANE, Kan. (KSNW) — Starting next week, you will not be able to enter or exit Mulvane on Kansas Highway 53 on the south side of the city.

A new sewer line is being installed near the sewage treatment plant. K-53, or Bridge Street, will be closed at Boxelder Avenue during construction.

Pilot unharmed after emergency landing in Harvey County

Traffic will be detoured to K-55 through Udall and Belle Plaine via K-15 or Oliver, a total distance of 23.7 miles. Work is scheduled to begin Feb. 22.

The work is expected to take about two weeks to complete.
