Lone Colorado spot dubbed a USA Today ‘restaurant of the year’ for 2024

On February 15, USA Today released its popular ‘restaurants of the year’ list for 2024 and the collection of 47 spots nationwide included one dining destination in Colorado.

The unranked list featured Beijing Noodle in Fort Collins, describing the spot as a ‘hidden gem’ that serves up authentic and comforting Chinese cuisine not typical of the Centennial State.

It’s not just USA Today raving about Beijing Noodle either. The spot has a very high 4.8-star rating on Google Reviews and a 4.4-star rating on Yelp.

Yelpers rave about the ‘oil spill noodles with pork,’ which is also a dish that was highlighted by USA Today. USA Today describes this fan favorite as noodles “poured over with hot oil to make a spicy garlic topped with house-made Sichuan sauce.”

Other dishes Yelpers seem to love include the green onion pancake and pan-friend dumplings, though it seems like anything on the menu is a hit.

Beijing Noodle can be found at 1005 W. Stuart Street and is open every day except for Sunday.

While Colorado only ended up with one spot on the USA Today list, that was the case for many states, with 23 states not getting a nod at all. Florida got the most features at four, with New Jersey and Pennsylvania each having three spots included. Find the full list here.
