A fire destroyed a large vacant commercial convalescent hospital in Bloomington, just east of Fontana, on Feb. 15, according to the San Bernardino County Fire Department. At 6:05 a.m., crews were dispatched to the area of Grace and San Bernardino avenues, where they found the structure about 25 percent involved in fire.
