Drivers on the 91 Freeway encountered worse backups than usual early Friday morning after lumber fell off a vehicle in the westbound lanes.
The mishap occurred sometime around 5 a.m. near Green River Road.
Sky5 reporter Rich Prickett said the vehicle that dumped the lumber appeared to be a small SUV or hatchback, and not a work truck.
The backups extended to the 15 Freeway, and the incident was still impacting traffic even after the lumber was cleared by 6 a.m.
