LEMOYNE, Pa. (WHTM) – “Right place, right time” for Friday’s hometown heroes.
UPMC honored members of its community life team EMS in Lemoyne on Friday for saving the life of a colleague.
Last month, UPMC paramedic matthew warner was working a shift at the PA Farm Show when he suffered a heart attack.
His EMS team members sprang into action resuscitating Matthew and transporting him to Harrisburg Hospital for surgery.

Warner said, “I know the science, I know the background, and if I was home, I know it would have been a funeral, so I’m very thankful I was where I was, and it’s a true story of being in the right place, right time and obviously being around the right people.”
Matthew says he looks forward to sharing the importance of knowing how to respond to a cardiac emergency including CPR and how to use an AED.
