Akron Borough, PA – A routine patrol in Akron Borough led to the arrest of 40-year-old Joshua Klepach on multiple charges, including DUI and possession of an open container, on February 13, 2024. Officer Zachary Crills, while patrolling eastbound on Main Street at approximately 11:40 AM, noticed a white Chevy Equinox veering into the opposite lane around a turn. Further observation revealed the vehicle had expired Pennsylvania state inspection and emission stickers and was exceeding the speed limit.

Upon initiating a traffic stop, Officer Crills encountered Klepach, who showed clear signs of impairment. An open alcoholic beverage container was visible inside the vehicle, and Klepach struggled to provide a valid driver’s license or personal identification. It was discovered that Klepach’s license was suspended due to a previous DUI, and he had an active bench warrant issued by Lancaster County Sheriffs.
