His home is located in South Carolina and was sold for a bid of $1 billion.

Murdaugh’s housekeeper, Gloria Satterfield, 57, died in the premises under mysterious circumstances.

She reportedly fell down the stairs in 2018.

The home is equipped with four bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, and 21 acres of property, reports Realtor.com.

It was purchased by a South Carolina businessperson whose name was not revealed.

“They’re a prominent South Carolina businessperson that has several offices throughout South Carolina,” said Craig King, senior marketing consultant at J.P. King Auction Co.
