BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — One person was taken to the hospital in critical condition after a shooting in central Bakersfield Thursday afternoon.
The shooting was reported on S Street at about 1:47 p.m.
Officials with the Bakersfield Police Department told 17 News officers arrived at the scene of the shooting and found a victim suffering gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to the hospital where they are listed in critical condition.
Police say all involved parties were interviewed but no arrests have been made. The case has been forwarded to the district attorney’s office for review.
The police department did not release more information.
