Bond denied for couple charged with 2015 quadruple homicide

ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) — The Tenth Judicial Circuit Court denied bond Friday for a couple that is accused of killing four family members in 2015.

Amy and Rosmore Vilardi were arrested in December 2023 for the 2015 killings of Barbara Scott, her son, Mike, his wife, Cathy, and her mother, Violet Taylor. All of them were killed on Halloween in 2015 and found dead two days later.

Shortly after the family was discovered, Amy Vilardi spoke to 7NEWS about the killing, saying the victims were “wonderful people,” and “they would do anything for anybody. They just didn’t deserve this.”

According to court orders, bond was denied for both of the Vilardis to secure their presence at court proceedings, and to ensure to they don’t pose danger to the community.

The two were arrested at their home in Columbia and have each been charged with four counts of murder.

The couple was previously denied bond in December.

The sheriff’s office has been working with members of the victims’ family to solve the case. In 2020, a billboard was put up on US-76 to try to source new information in the case.
