Newcomer challenging incumbent for House District 68

TEXOMA ( KFDX/KJTL ) — The current representative for Texas House District 68 will face off against a newcomer to politics as Republican voters cast their ballots in the March primary elections to determine who will represent them in November.

In the Texas House of Representatives, District 68 includes nearly 200,000 people across 10 counties in North Texas, including Jack, Montague, Throckmorton and Young Counties in Texoma.

The winner of the primary election for the Republican party on March 6, 2024, will be on the ballot for the November general election, where they will face Democratic nominee Stacey Swann.

Rep. Spiller seeking a second term in Austin

After spending three years in Austin, Rep. David Spiller , a Jacksboro lawyer, is hoping to secure a second term representing the residents of District 68 in the Texas House of Representatives.

“You know, there’s work to be done,” Rep. Spiller said. “Let’s get busy and let’s get it done for them.”
