ATMORE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — Law enforcement officials are looking for a suspect believed to be associated with a Florida homicide amid a cross-county pursuit involving multiple agencies, according to sources.

It all started when the Atmore Police Department received a tip about a possible escapee in the area, according to law enforcement sources.

The Atmore PD passed this information to neighboring agencies, and the Clarke County Sheriff’s Office, Jackson Police Department, and the Thomasville Police Department learned about a vehicle “pinged” in their areas, sources said.

Law enforcement sources said they believe at least one person involved in an Escambia County, Florida homicide was in a vehicle traveling on Highway 84 into Clarke County.

Officials tracked the vehicle into Clarke County, and the Thomasville Police Department reportedly found all three occupants in the Dollar General store on Highway 43.
