Petersburg man arrested for attempted robbery at Touchstone Bank in Colonial Heights

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WRIC) — On Friday, the Colonial Heights Police Department arrested a man in connection to the attempted robbery of Touchstone Bank in Colonial Heights.

The attempted robbery that occurred on Monday, Feb. 5, at Touchstone Bank in Colonial Heights, launching an investigation by police.

Afterward, the Colonial Heights Police Department, along with Petersburg Bureau of Police and Virginia State Police were able to identify the attempted robbery suspect.

Police have identified the suspect as 40 year-old Petersburg resident, Larry Jerome Weaver, who was taken into custody from the Rodeway Inn located at 2310 Indian Hill Road in Chesterfield County.

According to police, Weaver was charged with attempted armed robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. He is currently being held at the Riverside Regional Jail without a bond.
