A cold front is on the way

A front that has been lollygagging in Arkansas for several days will begin rushing southward late Friday (Feb. 16) and is predicted to pass across coastal Mississippi and into the northern Gulf before daybreak Saturday (Feb. 17). Skies will be cloudy Friday ahead of the front and a few scattered light showers are possible today and tonight. Don’t expect much clearing on Saturday because a low pressure system is predicted to move along the frontal boundary throwing low clouds northward to the Gulf Coast.
