WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – We hope you are having a nice Friday evening. Ahead of a weekend cold front, additional cloud cover kept highs slightly cooler than the upper 60s we saw on Thursday afternoon. Clouds will continue to increase tonight with seasonably mild lows in the upper 40s. Upon the passage of the front, expect brisk highs in the upper 50s to near 60 on Saturday with mostly cloudy skies, chilling to about freezing Saturday night. Temperatures will rebound back into the lower 50s on Sunday. Lower 60s will return early in the new week, with highs approaching 70 near the end of next week.
