Man who shot coworker at Albuquerque holiday party sentenced to 1 year in prison

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A man who shot one of his coworkers at a holiday party over a year ago received his sentence on Friday. Witnesses say Connor Pruncnal became confrontational with a coworker at the Salt Yards bar on San Mateo in December 2022. Pruncnal ended up shooting and wounding someone before fleeing the scene.

Suspect arrested for 2020 Albuquerque murder

He was also on probation in Idaho after taking a plea deal for shooting another person outside a bar in 2020. Pruncnal took a plea deal in the Albuquerque case earlier this month and pled guilty to aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. A judge sentenced him to one year in the Metropolitan Detention Center. He will need to turn himself in by March 1.
