According to a spokesperson for Miami Township, Miami Township Assistant Police Chief Jason Etter is currently placed on paid administrative leave.
In the notice of charges filed on Friday, Feb. 16, multiple reasons are listed for Etter being placed on leave. Among those charges, it is alleged that Etter was aware and failed to report or investigate claims of harassment and racism.
It is also mentioned that multiple individuals reported Etter to be “generally condescending, misogynistic, and rude” and “regularly used unprofessional language.”
A disciplinary hearing will be held at a later date to be determined.
