IDENTIFIED: 22-year-old woman dead after ATV crash in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A 22-year-old woman from Delano passed away due to an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) accident in southwest Fresno on Wednesday evening, according to the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.

Esperanza Nunez was 22 years old when she passed away in an ATV accident located at Hyde Park on Fruit Avenue and Church Road in Fresno, according to sheriff’s officials.

Catarina Cortez, Esperanza’s sister has started a GoFundMe for Esperanza.

“Her sudden departure has left a void in our lives that can never be filled. Her infectious laughter and boundless love touched the lives of everyone around her. She had a heart of gold and a spirit that radiated warmth and kindness,” said Cortez.

According to the GoFundMe made by Cortez, she says during this time of grief and figuring out how to financially arrange funeral expenses, they plan to continue her legacy.

“In the midst of our grief, we find solace in knowing that Esperanza’s legacy will live on through the decision to donate her organs,” said Cortez.
