MPD investigates shooting death of 23-year-old man

A 23-year-old Montgomery man died in a hospital after being shot early Friday morning, police said.

The Montgomery Police Department is investigating the shooting death of Rod’Tavious Hall, Capt. Raymond Carson said in an email.

Police and fire medics responded to the shooting at about 1:54 a.m. in the 100 block of North Burbank Drive. They said they found Hall with life-threatening injuries, and he was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

Officers also responded to the hospital when another man arrived with injuries that were not life threatening, Carson said. They said that shooting also happened in the 100 block of North Burbank Drive.

Police are not releasing any more information at this time but ask that anyone with information about the homicide contact CrimeStoppers at 334-215-STOP, the Secret Witness Line at 334-625-4000 or the department at 334-625-283, Carson said in the email.
