CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A Cherokee County man has been convicted of strangling a woman, according to the Cherokee County District Attorney. Morris Michael McCoy, 45, was convicted of strangling a woman in a Canton Walmart parking lot on Apr. 30, 2023. The district attorney said the assault stemmed from an argument between McCoy and the woman.
