First-year FFA chapter looks to grow quickly

CENTER POINT, Iowa – A seed must be planted before a crop can grow. That seed has begun to sprout at one eastern Iowa high school. Several students at Center Point-Urbana high school are among the first at the school to begin their FFA journey after the school received its charter at the beginning of the school year. Previously, some students would go to a neighboring school to participate in FFA, but with help from an alum and through the ambition of the students, agriculture is now a growing feature in the school district.
