Deputies search for man after double homicide in Largo area

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Deputies are searching for a suspect after a double homicide in the Largo area, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

James McKinley Barber, Jr., 28, is wanted in the homicides in the 7900 block of Smoketree Court, deputies said. The homicides appear to be domestic-related.

Barber was last seen in the area of 51st Avenue North between Duhme Road and Seminole Boulevard in Seminole, deputies said. He is believed to be armed, but there deputies don’t believe he’s a threat to the public.

Barber is 6’2″ and 159 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, deputies said. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt that says “Tronton” on it. He was also in blue pants and black sneakers.
