‘Who shot Kila?’: Ybor mass shooting victim’s family wants answers

TAMPA, Fla (WFLA) — The family of a 20-year-old woman shot in the Ybor mass shooting back in October wants justice after shots fired left the victim with permanent damage.

“I want to know who potentially killed me,” Kila Ryker said.

Ryker was one of 16 victims who survived the Halloween weekend shooting that killed two people.

“The person who did it, they need to know like, you changed my life,” Ryker said.

It’s been 110 days since Ryker says her life was rocked forever. She was shot in the femoral artery when Tampa police said that an argument between two groups led to gunfire.

Medical reports that the victim shared with 8 On Your Side state she arrived at the hospital without a pulse. Ryker says her wounds left her with permanent scars and needing to take medications for the rest of her life.

Three suspects have been charged in connection with the deadly shooting, but Ryker hasn’t learned who is responsible for the shots that harmed her.
