Lee University’s U-Church is hosting a worship event, ‘Come to the Table: An Evening of Worship’, on Sunday, Feb. 18. The event will be at 7:30 p.m. in the Conn Center and is led by LeeU Worship. The service’s theme is ‘Living Hope’, based on 1 Peter 1:3-12.
The service will be led by students and will include student testimonies and communion. Grace Newland, a LeeU Worship member, shared her excitement for the event. She emphasized its importance for students, professors, and the community to worship together.
LeeU Worship is a student group of songwriters, worship leaders, and musicians. They aim to lead their peers in worship experiences at Lee University. In 2017, they released an album with 10 original songs. The songs vary from upbeat electronic music to powerful ballads and a modern hymn based on New Testament text.
The ‘Come to the Table’ event is free and open to students, alumni, and the community. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. No tickets are required.
