Saturday, February 17: Shivering shot of cold before warmth arrives

Well the weather did it again. We had warm and sunny conditions for the work week, but once the weekend arrived the cold air creeped back. Temperatures today will be noticably chilly.

Upper 30s for most places with a few lucky enough to reach the 40s.

Breezy winds out of the north will keep the feels-like-temperatures limited to the 20s. These frigid temperatures are only going to feel worse after we’ve been spoiled with warmth the last few days.

Saturday brings a shivering shot of cold, but warmer weather will be quickly returning. Sunday we bounce back with plenty of sunshine and highs in the 50s.

An atmospheric ridge develops on Monday which will help us lock these warm temperatures in place. We’ll get temperatures in the 60s back on Tuesday. Even warmer for Wednesday, I like our chances to hit 70 degrees. It will be the warmest day of 2024 if we manage to do it.
