LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) – The Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office says that a Lancaster County juvenile was sentenced for a shooting that seriously injured another teenager last year.
Charles Freeman , 16, of Lancaster, was sentenced to five to ten years in prison after being found guilty of aggravated assault, carrying a firearm without a license, possession of a firearm by a minor, recklessly endangering another person, and discharging a firearm.

On Jan. 7, 2023, police were dispatched around 1:30 p.m. for a shooting. When the officers arrived they found a 15-year-old with a gunshot wound to the head. The 15-year-old was transported to the hospital and was treated for a life-threatening injury.
The DA’s Office states that the judge informed Freeman that he could have spent the rest of his life in prison if the victim hadn’t lived.
Two other teenagers were charged in connection to the shooting. Sackiwa Ntuli remains in the Lancaster County Prison on charges including attempted homicide and is scheduled for a status conference on March 7. Jose Ramos is facing similar charges connected to the shooting.
