Syracuse, N.Y. – Along Brighton Avenue in Syracuse, a flurry of construction activity and warning signs for detours is already visible. The state DOT is issuing a travel advisory for drivers: I-81 North will be closed to traffic between exit 16-A and I-481 South starting Monday night, until Friday, March 1. The DOT says this closure is needed to demolish the flyover ramp connecting I-81-south and I481-north.
