The Wilmington City Council will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. They will discuss several important issues, including the Greenfield Park Master Plan and funding for different projects.
A key agenda item is the use of $150,000 from the Tree Mitigation fund. This money will be used to remove 387 tree stumps across the city. Each stump will be replaced with a new tree, supporting the city’s environmental efforts.
The council will also allocate $544,000 to the nCino Sports Complex project. This money will cover extra costs for installing lights in the parking area and a restroom facility at the former landfill site. The sports complex, due to be finished later this year, will have 11 sports fields, five with lights, and a new restroom facility.
The meeting will also cover lease agreements for office space at the Skyline Center with L.I.N.C. Inc. and the Local Government Federal Credit Union. These agreements aim to support local businesses and government operations.
