Nikki Haley makes campaign stop on Kiawah Island

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. (WCBD)- We’re exactly one week away from the Republican Presidential Primary and former South Carolina Governor and GOP candidate Nikki Haley made a stop in the Lowcountry this afternoon, as a part of her Beast of the Southeast bus tour.

It was a packed house Saturday afternoon, with supporters like Shari Whitley in attendance.

“I’ve been following her since she was ambassador, I’ve always been very impressed with her,” Whitley said.

Freshfields Village on Kiawah Island hosted a campaign stop as the countdown to the Republican Primary is on.

“We were here when she was governor and we really liked what she did as governor,” Haley supporter, Mimi Montague said.

Introducing Haley to the stage was a Republican solicitor in South Carolina, Scarlett Wilson — who serves the Ninth Judicial Circuit.

“We needed Nikki Haley as governor, we needed Nikki Haley in the Trump administration, and we need Nikki Haley in the White House,” Wilson said.

Also Haley’s son, Nalin Haley, “When you look at me I want you to think of your children and grandchildren, and I want you to think of the country we will have to inherit. Because you have a choice in this.”
