On February 16, 2024, a series of shootings in the Northwest and Western Districts prompted multiple investigations by the Baltimore Police Department. The earliest incident occurred at 12:31 a.m. on North Carrollton Avenue’s 900 block. A 38-year-old male was found unresponsive with gunshot wounds and was declared dead at the scene.
Later in the day, at 5:36 p.m., officers responded to a shooting on Ingleside Avenue’s 3200 block. A 63-year-old male was treated for a gunshot wound at a local hospital and is now stable. A suspect has been detained for this incident.
At 8:54 p.m., officers responded to a shooting on North Carey Street’s 1300 block. A 31-year-old male was found injured and was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Western District Shooting detectives are now handling the investigation.
The last reported incident occurred at 10:03 p.m. on Kathland Avenue’s 4000 block. Officers found two males, aged 69 and 45, with gunshot wounds. Despite medical efforts, the older man died from his injuries, while the younger man is in critical condition.
