Chilly today, much warmer Sunday

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Several cities across western Kansas are waking up to snow on the ground. Mother Nature’s way of reminding us we are still in February. Light snow and flurries will linger across southwest Kansas until mid-morning, otherwise sunshine will return during the afternoon statewide. It will remain chilly with highs in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Expect clear skies overnight, and that means another night of subfreezing temperatures for Sunday morning with lows in the teens and 20s.
