Tiny Diner set to reopen in April, despite property hitting the market

The Tiny Diner is set to reopen this spring as scheduled, despite the property being placed on the market this month.

The diner at 1024 E 38th St. closed its doors temporarily in September, with owner Kim Bartmann – of The Bartmann Group – saying it was a step taken in response to its “financial struggles” and in lieu of shutting the diner for good.

Bartmann said at the time that the diner would reopen in the spring, but concern grew this week that its closure could be permanent after all when the restaurant hit the property market, as first reported by Twin Cities Business Journals .

However, Bartmann told Bring Me The News that the Tiny Diner will reopen to customers in mid-April.

When asked what would happen in the event the property sells while Tiny Diner is open, Bartmann said: “I can’t predict what the future holds, but I do really hope it let the Tiny Diner stays open forever.

“It obviously struggled and continues, struggling financially, and we do have some solutions for that, and we are going to reopen.”
