Car crashes into Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem; 2 injured

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — Two people are injured after a car crashed into a local convention center on Saturday morning, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.

At around 1:50 a.m. on Saturday, officers came to the intersection of North Marshall Street and West Sixth Street after getting a report of a crash with injuries.

At the scene, police found two cars that were involved in the crash. One of those cars struck the Benton Convention Center and caused minor structural damage.

Two people were taken to a local hospital as a result of the crash and were treated for minor injuries.

The investigation is active and ongoing. There is no further information available at this time.
