1 dead, 2 injured in Saturday morning shooting: Mobile Police

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) – The Mobile Police Department confirmed that a shooting in the proximity of a Mardi Gras parade in the Trinity Gardens community left one man dead and two injured, including a child.

Officers assigned to work Mardi gras duty responded to the scene on Next Street at approximately 11:15 a.m.

Upon arrival, MPD said they discovered a 20-year-old man in the roadway with life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he later died of his injuries.

At the scene, police also found an 18-year-old man with life-threatening injuries and a 16-year-old boy with non-life threatening injuries.

No word yet on any arrests. MPD urged those who may have information to call (251) 208-7211.
