The country is still in shock after a horrific shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade on Wednesday, but thankfully, there is a bit of good news in a terrible situation.
According to McKenzie Nelson of KSHB , Kansas City’s NBC affiliate, all 12 children injured in the shooting have now been discharged from Children’s Mercy Hospital. Eleven of the 12 patients in the hospital’s care were released on Friday, with the final one going home on Saturday.
There’s little solace to be found in a shooting that left one dead and over 20 more injured, but at the very least, it seems like these children will be OK.
Kansas City Police say that two teenagers are facing gun-related and resisting arrest charges for their involvement in the shooting, but could face more charges in the future.
“It is anticipated that additional charges are expected in the future as the investigation by the Kansas City Police Department continues,” the Office of the Juvenile Officer said in a statement, per CNN .
