The two-day event hosts more than 600 people annually to explore the history of maple production, participate in family activities and look to purchase maple products.

Happenings at the event include a Maple Walking Tour, a 30-minute tour to their sugar bush with an introduction to maple syrup history and its uniqueness to the area.  There will be a “Maple Talk” session at 11 a.m. with Laura Dengler, owner of “How Sweet It Is,” a maple syrup producer in Saegertown.  Also included will be interactive stations, vendor stations, kids activities and a sugar shack to enjoy.

“Our Maple Festival gives the public an opportunity to see the maple syrup process first-hand, by running our sugar shack when sap is flowing people get to see and smell the magic of maple,” said Jennifer Farrar, executive director.  “We’ve included many interactive stations located inside our Nature Center so people can visit the stations they want at their own pace, along with lectures, and kids activities.”
