Pro-Palestine rally takes place in north Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Peace and Justice Action League of Spokane is holding a rally near the Northtown Mall in response to the beginning of an Israeli military operation in Rafah.

The rally is at the corners of Wellesley and Division near the Northtown Mall.

The Peace and Justice Action League of Spokane say they are still calling on Senator Patty Murray, Senator Maria Cantwell and Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers for a ceasefire in Palestine/Israel and an end to U.S. military aid to Israel.

“It’s taking a side of a more peaceful and just world,” Union Carter, the organizer of Saturday’s rally, said. “[It’s] taking a stance against bombing children and bombing families, and also saying our money should not be used for this. The side we are on is a side of peace, a side of justice for pretty much everyone.”
