The Elkton Hispanic Church in Kentucky transitioned from a company to a church on February 17, 2024. This transition was marked by a service attended by church members, friends, and officials from the Kentucky-Tennessee Conference (KYTN). The congregation also held a ceremony to mark the payment of the church’s mortgage.

The Elkton Hispanic Church was originally a church plant from the Springfield Hispanic Church in Tennessee. The first meeting was held on March 24, 2015, at the home of church elder, Paco Cajija. Before this, members had to travel over 40 miles every Sabbath to join the Springfield Hispanic Church for worship. The group started with only 10 members and was officially recognized as a company on March 22, 2016.

Pastor Natan Delima, the first pastor for the Elkton Hispanic Church plant, commended the members’ commitment to the mission and their engagement in missionary work. He also acknowledged the support from the Mother Church. In 2017, the Elkton Hispanic Church purchased their own building, previously renting a space from the Elkton Nazarene Church. Despite needing repairs, members volunteered to work on the building and completed the mortgage payments in December 2023.
