Missouri pastor was warned by God to leave the Super Bowl parade just moments before shooting began

Missouri pastor and his family were spared

CBN is reporting that Missouri pastor Timmy Hensel experienced a miracle amid the shooting at the Kansas City chief’s Super Bowl parade that left 1 dead and 22 injured. CBS says 2 juveniles have been charged in connection to the shootings.

Hensel is the pastor of River Church Family in Raytown, Missouri, and also the Central Southeast Regional Pastor for the Foursquare Church. He says he, his wife, and 2 children were watching the parade, and just before his favorite players were announced both he and his wife felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to leave.

Pastor says to practice listening

He said as they were walking away they began receiving texts asking if they were OK. He looked up at an ariel view of the parade from a helicopter and saw blood on the ground in the spot where he had been standing just minutes earlier.

In the comments section of the CBN article, many commenters shared their own experiences with being warned before a tragedy happened. Pastor Hensel said people talk and pray and need to learn to listen to the promptings from above. CNN reports that many thought the gunfire was fireworks.
