The City Buffet (New Peking Buffet), a popular buffet, sushi, and seafood restaurant located at 100 Live Oaks Blvd in Casselberry, Seminole County, is having to rectify numerous health violations cited by the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation, following an inspection in January.
The restaurant, which is under new management, but known for its diverse offering and local appeal, was subjected to a routine food inspection on January 31, 2024, which resulted in a required follow-up inspection due to the severity of the findings.
Despite its local popularity and an average Yelp rating of 3.1 stars, City Buffet was cited for a total of 25 violations, including four high-priority and eight intermediate violations that raised significant health and safety concerns.
High-priority violations were particularly alarming, with issues ranging from the lack of proper parasite destruction in nonexempt fish offered raw or undercooked, to raw animal food being improperly stored above unwashed produce.
