Floridians know that one of the perks of living in the Sunshine State is being able to enjoy a meal while looking at the water in waterfront restaurants. Bonus points if that restaurant includes freshly caught seafood while looking at the sunset.
Unfortunately, one popular restaurant in this genre was recently shut down after a state inspection, although it appears to be reopened.
About Nick’s Boathouse: This popular waterfront restaurant has been around since 2012. Its website indicates that it serves “fresh Gulf seafood with local southern flavors and Cajun influences.”
The restaurant has its own wild fish processing facility which provides fresh seafood such as mahi-mahi, grouper, shrimp, snapper, amberjack, cobia, and wahoo.
The restaurant has over 2,200 Google reviews, with an average of 4.0 out of 5 stars. Pensacola patrons rave about the food, the view, and the friendly service. But some took off stars for long wait times – especially at peak times and high vacation season.
