One dead, one hospitalized with critical injuries after shooting at a Richmond private club

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — One man is dead and another has been hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after both were shot at a private club in Richmond, according to police.

Officers with the Richmond Police Department responded to the 300 block of West Broad Street at about 3:22 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, after receiving report of a person shot.

Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Police also responded to the scene. In its release on the issue, VCU Police said the shooting took place at a private club in the area of West Broad Street. At this time, the name of the club has not been released by police.

Upon their arrival, officers found a man unresponsive in the roadway with a gunshot wound. He died at the scene.
