A man is in the hospital after he was shot in the Upper Ninth Ward.
According to a New Orleans Police Department spokesperson, the shooting happened around 8:20 p.m. Saturday on North Claiborne Avenue near Desire Street.
The NOPD spokesperson says the victim suffered a body wound. The victim’s condition is unknown.
