SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Rain continues through most of Sunday, with temps 10 to 15 degrees below average. Rain totals so far have been near an inch to the north and lighter amounts to the south. Sunday will bring an additional rain totals near an inch. You’ll find ponding in low spots on roads and parking lots and it will take longer to stop on wet roads, too. We have no severe weather or thunderstorms Sunday, just rain varying from light to heavier at times across the Suncoast. Visibility will be low at times in bands of heavier rain. Overnight the rain ends and skies start to clear out, just in time for sunshine to start the work week. Temperatures stay chilly, in the 60s for highs Monday and Tuesday, then the 70s return to end the week. We’re tracking a weak cold front for Friday, mainly with a chance of a few light showers.
