Hilton, Thomas, HF-L repeat as cheerleading sectional champions

GATES, N.Y. (WROC) — Hilton, Webster Thomas, and Honeoye Falls-Lima all repeated as sectional champions at Saturday’s competitive cheerleading sectional finals.

The Cadets earned their highest score of the season, scoring an 86.95 to beat Fairport who came in second.

In Class B, Thomas beat Victor by less than two points to go back-to-back. The Titans scored a 78.50.

Fresh off a game day cheerleading title in the fall, Arcadia had the largest win of the day, taking the co-ed division. They scored an 81 to beat Canandaigua, who finished in second with a 63.50.

Honeoye Falls-Lima won the Class C1 title, beating Aquinas who came in second.

Canisteo-Greenwood won the Class C2 title with the closest margin of victory of the day. The Chargers finished with a 69.60, beating Wayland-Cohocton who came in second with a 69.50.

In Class D1, Gananda avenged a string of recent close defeats to win the sectional title, outscoring Campbell-Savona who came in second.

Finally, Arkport-Canaseraga won the Class D2 title, besting Avoca/Prattsburgh who finished second.
