Florida A&M Track & Field Shines at SWAC Championships: Gold in Relay, Records Broken

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. The Florida A&M track and field program kicked off the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships on a strong note, winning two medals on the very first day of competition (Feb. 17). The women’s distance medley relay, featuring Alesia Douglas, Lacie Deboskie, Madison Gordon, and Niya Coleman, earned a gold medal (12.35.79) while Dajon Clark claimed silver in the long jump (7.36 meters / 24′ 1.75″). Witnesses also saw Kimeone McLeod accomplish an incredible feat, as the senior now holds the SWAC’s championship record in the women’s 60-meter hurdles.
