New Cali-Baja style restaurant opens Monday at Sheraton Hotel on Harbor Island

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A new restaurant is opening this week on Harbor Island for San Diegans that like a waterfront view, complete with the flavors and vibes of San Diego and Baja California.

“Rumorosa” is opening Monday, Feb. 18, at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina on Harbor Island, and promises views of the marina and waterfront, the Sheraton San Diego Hotel announced this week.

The restaurant will fuse flavors of Baja, Mexico with a San Diego vibe, aiming to revitalize San Diego’s Harbor Island peninsula dining scene, according to the announcement.

The Cali-Baja style restaurant is the first of four new concepts opening in 2024 part of the $100 million Sheraton property renovation.

The newly designed space will feature marina views through floor-to-ceiling windows, a fireplace at night, a bar area with communal seating and 16-seat private dining room for private parties and events.

General Manager Lorraine Morales will oversee the front of the house. San Diego Chef Cesar Oceguera will lead the culinary operations of the 186-seat fine dining restaurant.
