To infinity and beyond: New Imagination Station exhibit takes you to space

Have you ever wanted to take an elevator ride to space, fly like a bird, or design a virtual supersonic fighter jet?

Look no further.

Imagination Station’s newest exhibit, Above and Beyond, includes just that and more, giving guests an immersive experience in aviation and aerospace.

According to the science center’s website, in Above and Beyond you can also earn a passport to Mars by experiencing the physical and psychological challenges it takes to get to the fourth planet from the sun.

“Think planes, think rockets, [and] think outer space,” said Sutton Reekes, the communication and media manager for Imagination Station. “[The exhibit] goes along perfectly with our solar eclipse programming and our educational opportunities here for the solar eclipse.”

With the upcoming solar eclipse on April 8, Reekes said there are various Family Think Tank Workshops to learn about the solar eclipse on Saturdays in February and March — from decorating a glasses case for essential eclipse glasses to visiting the planetarium to get a glimpse of what to expect in April.
