Syracuse Suffers Set Back With Loss at Georgia Tech

Syracuse faltered down the stretch and lost at Georgia Tech 65-60 Saturday night. With the loss, the Orange dropped to 16-10 (7-8) on the season. Next up for Syracuse is another road game, this time at NC State. That game is Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. Eastern and will be broadcast on ESPN2.

The loss was to the team that was last in the ACC standings just days after beating the team at the top.

The first half was one of ups and downs for both teams. Syracuse started strong by jumping out to a 9-2 lead. Georgia Tech bounced back to get things close before an 11-2 run put the Yellow Jackets up nine. The Orange would answer with a 7-2 spurt to close the half and trim the lead to four entering the locker room.

Syracuse started the second half strong scoring the first four points to tie things up, but Georgia Tech would answer with a 9-0 run to get momentum back. The Orange would chip away and regain the lead with under six minutes remaining on a Chris Bell corner three off of a dish from Quadir Copeland.
