DENVER, Colo. (KDVR) — A Colorado girl is working to comfort and inspire others diagnosed with scoliosis after years of surgeries and challenges herself.
At 13 years old, Chloe Quinn has a lot to love in her life.
“I love playing with my sister, she’s my best friend,” Quinn said. “I love Legos, I love being outside and going to school, and I love helping others. It makes me happy when others are, like, not suffering as much.”

The seventh grader has endured a lot of suffering herself. Back in 2022, her scoliosis progressed from a 52-degree curve in her spine to 82 degrees in just six weeks.
The quick and extreme change led her to Rocky Mountain Pediatric OrthoOne where she met pediatric surgeon Dr. Jaren Riley.
“Unfortunately, her scoliosis got larger and larger to the point where she needed surgery,” Dr. Riley said. “But poor Chloe didn’t know that wouldn’t be the end of her surgical story. She tragically was very allergic to the metal that was implanted and had to go through removal of the hardware and then a long period of time with nothing holding her spine together.”
