Wash Tub Laundromat ‘likely a total loss’ after early morning fire

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A local laundromat caught on fire Sunday, Albuquerque Fire Rescue (AFR) said. It happened around 5 a.m.

AFR was called to 1105 Central NW, the Wash Tub Laundromat, and it was reported as a commercial structure fire with heavy smoke.

Firefighters worked for three hours to get the fire under control. The structure, and what was inside, is “likely a total loss.”

No one was reported injured, and AFR is investigating the cause of the fire.
